Growing Out of Season….

From this angle the tomatoes look perfect.

From this angle, not so perfect.

I will cut the dead parts off and dehydrate the rest. But I did alot of work for only half a fruit. I’ve noticed more bugs now that the tomatoes are growing out of season. The tomatoes sit on the vine twice as long and even then, don’t fully ripen because there is no heat. Because the fruit is vulnerable due to poor conditions, surly the nutritional value is far less than tomatoes grown in season at the right conditions.
Growing out of season prevents me from passing ON wisdom to my children of how plants should look and the normalcy of their growth cycle.
If we substitute plants for humans...how do we plant, grow, feed, and harvest our kids and ourselves in season?
How do we not beat up on ourselves when our kids (and us) looked like the cracked tomatoes?
All of my soul, sees, recognizes, and honors your soul. (Namaste)
