Our Services

Comprehensive Postpartum Doula Care

At The Nourished Home, I provide comprehensive postpartum doula care that includes emotional, physical, spiritual, and practical support for mothers during the postpartum period. As a certified postpartum doula, I am trained to provide lactation support, newborn care education, and assistance with household tasks to help ease the transition into motherhood.

Breastfeeding Support

Breastfeeding can be difficult, but with my experience of breastfeeding my own seven children, and helping countless others, I am here to offer my support and guidance. From continual mastitis to improper latch, I have experienced it all. As we spend time together, I can often see potential problems before they occur, so we can work through these hard places. If there are any difficulties we can't resolve, I will refer you to a lactation consultant and the three of us will work together.

The Sisterhood of Wisdom

As an experienced postpartum doula, I understand that every parent's needs are unique. That's why I offer an eclectic approach that includes a wide variety of skills and practices. Whether you're interested in toning your body, gardening to feed your family, or creating your own connection to the Divine, I will help encourage and support you  to create your own unique postpartum care plan. Let me help you find the path that's right for you!

About Me.

I know myself to be a passionate lifelong learner of motherhood, joyful homemaking, homeschooling, spirituality, and all things related to pregnancy, postpartum, sacred sexuality and a tantric path to partnership. I’ve always felt drawn to paths that others did not walk therefore I've had to teach myself much of what I’ve learned. Topics that cause my heart to beat fast and my palms to sweat; gentle parenting (I've done my share of ungentle parenting), keeping our boys intact (your boys will thank you as mine have), baby carrying, homebirthing, breastfeeding, growing your own garden to table foods, UPlifitng and ENCOURAGING others, preventing and healing physical disease at home, creating deep and romantic sexual intimacy, strengthening our body through weight lifting, and my FAVORITE topic...devotion to the Divine.

Our first two children were born to parents who both worked full-time. However, when it came to our third and last child, we wanted to approach parenting in a different way. That's why we decided to seek out Shannon, who had experience with gentle parenting. She helped us see things from a new perspective and reconsider why we desired a different approach. Shannon provided us with invaluable insights and suggestions for addressing our specific challenges, including options like co-sleeping and discipline. Her guidance, coming from someone who had been through it all multiple times, was truly priceless.
